Jason Hyde
Jason obtained the Master of Arts in Philosophy from Talbot School of Theology, Biola University and currently getting a second Masters in Theology from Talbot School of Theology. Jason’s area of interest is in contemporary analytic metaphysics, epistemology, systematic theology, atonement, philosophical psychology, philosophy of neuroscience and New Testament theology. As an esteemed student of J.P. Moreland, his mentoring has significantly spurred Jason’s academic specialization in analytic philosophy encompassing areas in ontology, philosophy of mind and action theory. As a Christian philosopher, he enjoys researching and presenting on the justification of arguments for the existence of God, coherence of Christian doctrine, the nature of consciousness, free will and the ontology of human persons.
He has presented scholarly papers in theology and philosophy nationally and internationally at Palm Beach Atlantic University in Florida, Gate way Seminary in Ontario California, Smart Faith Conference in Arizona, Jesuit University Ignatianum in Kraków, Poland and the University of Oxford. His scholarly work on the metaphysical ontology of mind entitled, Kim and the Pairing Problem for Dualism: In Defense of a Thomistic Dualist Substance Ontology of Agent Causation, has also been published in a peer reviewed international academic journal for Philosophy. He lives in Southern California with his wife, Bethany, son Desmond and daughter Keavy.
